Consultation & Design Direction
01

Consultation & Design Direction

Before we begin

Every project begins with an in-depth design consultation. We explore your vision, preferred aesthetics, material options, and spatial context. Colour palettes, vein directions, finish types, and design concepts are all established here — so every decision is intentional.

We review reference images, discuss your lifestyle requirements, and provide material samples. This stage shapes every decision that follows.

Surface Inspection & Assessment
02

Surface Inspection & Assessment

Day 1

We conduct a thorough inspection of the existing substrate. Moisture readings, adhesion tests, and structural integrity checks are performed to ensure the surface is suitable for resin application. Any issues are identified and scoped before work begins.

A surface assessment report is provided, detailing prep requirements and any additional works needed before application.

Grinding, Crack Repair & Levelling
03

Grinding, Crack Repair & Levelling

Day 1–2 (varies)

The substrate is mechanically ground and profiled to remove any coatings, contaminants, and surface imperfections. Cracks, voids, and low spots are filled and levelled to create a pristine, flat base. The quality of this stage directly determines the quality of the final result.

Timing for this stage depends entirely on the condition of the existing surface. Heavily damaged or previously coated surfaces require more time and preparation.

Primer Application
04

Primer Application

12–24 hours cure

A specialist penetrating primer is applied to the prepared substrate. This critical layer seals the surface, enhances adhesion, and prevents moisture transmission from below. The primer must be fully cured before any subsequent layers are applied.

Primer cure time is typically 12–24 hours depending on ambient temperature and humidity. Skipping or rushing this stage compromises the entire system.

Base Coat
05

Base Coat

Same day as primer cure

The colour base coat establishes the foundational tone of the design. This layer determines the overall depth and richness of the final surface, and must be applied with precision and consistency. Multiple layers may be applied depending on the design intent.

Base coat colour is selected and mixed to match your approved design concept. This is the foundation upon which the artistic work is created.

Artistic Resin & Marble Effect Creation
06

Artistic Resin & Marble Effect Creation

Usually same day

This is where artistry meets material science. Our craftsmen hand-apply the artistic resin layers — creating veining, metallic movement, marble-like depth, and visual texture. This stage is unique on every project and cannot be replicated exactly, making every surface truly one-of-a-kind.

Working time is limited, requiring speed and precision. Multiple pours, blending techniques, and vein creation are executed within the working window of the resin system.

Protective Topcoat
07

Protective Topcoat

After artistic coat cure

A premium polyurethane or polyaspartic topcoat is applied to seal and protect the artistic layers beneath. This layer delivers the final sheen — whether ultra-gloss mirror finish or refined satin — and provides long-term resistance to abrasion, chemicals, UV, and daily wear.

We offer multiple topcoat finishes: ultra-gloss, satin, and matte. Slip-resistant additives are available for wet areas and commercial applications.

Curing, Inspection & Handover
08

Curing, Inspection & Handover

24h walk-on · 48h light use · Full cure: several days

The completed surface is allowed to cure fully. We conduct a final quality inspection before handover, ensuring every detail meets our exacting standards. Full aftercare instructions are provided, along with our quality guarantee.

Walk-on time is approximately 24 hours. Light furniture and normal use can typically resume within 48 hours. Full mechanical cure — maximum hardness and chemical resistance — is reached over several days depending on temperature and the specific system used.

Realistic Expectations

What You Need to Know

Timing Varies

Preparation and repair timescales depend entirely on the condition of the existing surface. Old tiles, damaged concrete, and moisture issues all require additional time. We always assess first and provide a realistic schedule.

Environment Matters

Resin systems are temperature and humidity sensitive. We monitor conditions throughout installation to ensure optimal cure. Full cure can take several days in cooler environments.

Space Preparation

The area must be cleared of all furniture before we begin. For floor installations in occupied spaces, we plan work in sections to minimise disruption to your daily life.
